Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone came out in 1997. Since then, a movie and audiobook have also been published. The title of this book in the UK is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The movie version of this book came out in 2001 and is the most popular Harry Potter movie to date. It was directed by Chris Columbus and lasts just under three hours.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was published in 1998. The movie was premiered in 2002. It was directed by Chris Columbus, like the first one. The dvd was launched in 2003.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was launched in 1999 to great acclaim. This, together with the first two books, are considerably shorter than the remaining four. The movie came out in 2004 and was directed by Mexican movie maker Alfonso Cuarón.
